CHOOSING A CORRECT SHAMPOO

CHOOSING A CORRECT SHAMPOO
Our scalp secretes natural oils to keep our hair lubricated. Shampoos often contain ingredients that wash off these natural oils from the scalp leaving behind harmful residual effect; they can make the hair unhealthy. Shampoo is a solution that is used to clean the exterior of your hair it does not reach the hair root to repair the damage. Shampoos can do a lot harm than good to your hair hence it is necessary to select a correct shampoo for your hair.
Tips:
Firstly identify your hair type. Is it oily? Normal? Or dry in nature. Choose a shampoo made specifically for your type of hair to keep them healthy & having optimum PH balance of the scalp which has been calculated as 7.
Normal hair type: Choose a shampoo that is made specifically for normal hair. Use the shampoo twice to three times in a week depending on how you are exposed to environmental pollutants.
Oily hair type: Choose a shampoo that has a mild detergent base. Use them regularly to wash off the dirt caused due to excess sebum (oil) production from the scalp.
Dry hair type: If you have dry hair, choose a moisturizing based shampoo that doesn't have detergents. If you have curly hair choose a moisturising shampoo.
CAUTION:
ü  Do not  experiment with different shampoos on your hair
ü  Avoid conditioning shampoos if you have oily hair.
