Frequent scaling of scalp influences hair loss. It is normal for skin cells to die and flake off; a small amount of flaking is normal and common. Diet plays an important role. Make sure your diet contains vitamins E, B6 and B12, selenium and zinc. Flaxseed oil and oily fish also said to help prevent dandruff as they are rich in Omega 3 Fatty acids. Red meat like Mutton, Beef and pork should be consumed in moderation.

If your scalp isn't getting better with these recommendations, or if it's red, inflamed or painful, then you must see your doctor to get it examined and treated.
