Hair forever a case study

M
ast Ahemed (name changed), 8 years old, was noticed to have a patchy loss of hair on scalp. The patch was first noticed by his barber when he was taken for a haircut. It was quiet distressing for his parents to know that their son is losing  hair at such an early age. Dermatologist diagnosed the problem as Alopecia Areata.
(Alopecia areata (AA) is a medical condition in which hair is lost from some or all areas of the body, usually from the scalp.[1][2] Because it causes bald spots on the scalp, especially in the first stages, it is sometimes called spot baldness. In 1–2% of cases, the condition can spread to the entire scalp (Alopecia totalis) or to the entire epidermis (Alopecia universalis)                                      SOURCE: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alopecia_areata)
His doctor started with some shots of corticosteroids and local application at the site of baldness. In about a week’s time Ahemed’s parents noted a change in the balding spot, there were small fine hair present .They were happy to see the progress of their son. In about next 3-4 days his father noticed another patch at the back of the head.
Ahemed then was referred at Dr.Hair for treatment. On further investigating into the case it was observed that Ahemed also had associated allergic rhinitis (Frequent running nose due to some allergen) .Alopecia Areata is usually associated with such conditions.
On enquiring about Ahemed’s behaviour, it was found that he was a very restless and hyperactive child. He would never sit at one place and also very stubborn in his actions. Ahemed would break his toys in anger; he used to generally get angry when parents rejected to give things he asked and also fight with other children in the society.
Studying his innate behavioural makeup and other symptoms Ahemed was prescribed a Homeopathic remedy. His other medications (conventional treatment) were asked to stop. In about 15 days his patches started filling up and there was also a marked improvement in his frequent cold. His intensity and severity of allergy decreased considerably. In about 45 days’ time his medicines were stopped and parents were asked to observe and follow up after 6 months.
6 Months later:  There were no new patches in 6 months’ time and no allergic symptoms. His patents also experienced a general change in Ahemed’s behaviour. They found him more calm and composed.
