Gearing up for winter disaster

Gearing up for winter disaster

As the climate gets colder with the approaching winters most of the hair and scalp problems intensify.  Hair and scalp easily becomes dry during this time of year from the dry indoor heating and the dry cold weather outside. The scaling of scalp increases and most of the complaints like scalp psoriasis increases in dry cold climate. The maturation of the skin cells becomes faster than usual causing increased scalp irritation, dry hair which results in subsequent brittle hair and hair starts falling easily. Proper preventative steps need to be taken during this seasons to ensure that your hair and scalp does not get damaged.

Tips:
  • Wear a cap or a scarp to protect from cold wind.
  • Use a conditioner daily
  • Don’t go outside with wet hair it increases the chances of hair breakage.
  • Use warm water to wash your hair. Avoid hot showers.
  • If your gets dry use dry hair shampoo
  • During winters limit blow drying and curling of hair

If you have a specific problem during winters, write in to our experts at service@drhair.co.in and we will ensure you a permanent solution.

Shampoo right !

First step to healthy hair : Wet your hair with lukewarm to cold water. Never use very hot water to wash your hair which could damage or irritate your hair. It is always advisable to use soft neutral water to wash. Apply a cap full of shampoo to your palms and rub together. Gently massage the scalp and roots down to the ends of the hair. Gently run the fingers through the hair to make sure that the shampoo is evenly distributed. Wait for around 3 minutes and then rinse it by allowing the water to run from the scalp to the ends evenly. Once the hair is rinsed thoroughly you are ready to condition them
CAUTION: Hair are very fragile when wet, so be gentle. Do not squeeze your hair.

Trait Reversal in Autoimmune hair Loss

The Hair loss in patches is proved to be an autoimmune disorder in which the body attacks its own hair follicles and suppresses or disrupts normal hair formation. The resultant is loss of hair in patches usually seen on scalp (Alopecia areata).
Alopecia Totalis- Smooth patches of hair loss on entire scalp.
Alopecia Universalis- Generalized smooth patches of hair loss on entire body.
Hair loss in patches is sometimes associated with other autoimmune conditions such as allergic disorders, thyroid disease, rheumatoid arthritis etc. Alopecia areata occurs within family members, suggesting a role of genes and heredity. At Dr.Hair medicines are aimed in reversing the damaged hair follicles and the autoimmune behavior of the body cells. The resultant leads to regrowth of hair.
HOW IT WORKS
·        Restoration of hair lost in patches (Alopecia Areata)
·        Control the recurrences

·        Trait Reversal
